Saw this at the Cupertino Home Depot. The website still shows full price so YMMV.

To each their own. I can make good BBQ in a giant metal can, but why bother with all the manual effort if I can afford something that eliminates the tedious part?

This should have the brand, Traeger, in the title. People searching for a Traeger may never see this without it.

Absolutely. I learned to use a crappy, cheap offset smoker that needed constant babysitting. But why wouldn't I want an auto-feeding pellet grill with a digital thermostat, wifi, and meat probes if I can get equal or better results with less hassle and time investment? I could say buying premade charcoal and using a vessel with a lid is cheating, because real cowboys cook on the ground with wood and don't have thermometers, but I don't know why I would ever feel a need to knock what someone else chooses to do.
The way some people here go out of their way to thread crap here is astounding, when they know from the title they aren't interested.

You don't get equal results. I've been very disappointed in my Traeger and now want a Weber Smokey Mountain.
