What a constructive and helpful comment. To each his own, but I worked in Consumer Electronics/Video displays for a decade and would always choose size if the quality is reasonable. I have no opinions on this display, just stating that MOST people are going to be MUCH happier with a larger screen, especially when it is at home and you don't have other displays to compare. Put the best 65" on the market next to a 98" with reasonable quality and I bet 9 out of 10 choose the larger screen (not to mention the huge price differential for the best 65"). I've also had 100" projection for 20+ years (at 1080p, gasp!), so I may be biased.

Fair point, however an OLED's big drawback is overall brightness. I finally got my first OLED for the bedroom. However my living room TV is a Samsung QLED from 2018. It's a very bright room and I didn't want to risk trying an OLED in those conditions. My next living room TV will be a QD-OLED. It has the best of both worlds. The brightness of QLED and the contrast of OLED.

The big differentiator right now is cost for 85"+ OLED TVs. If I were looking at 75" or less, OLED is now relatively affordable. Sam's Club has the 65" Philips OLED for $900 which is pretty amazing considering how much an OLED of that size was even two years ago.

Sams website shows $1348, but when I added the TV to the cart it shows as $1,498.00. Been like that since Friday for me. Wonder if it is an error? I reached out to Sams support with no response. Does anyone else have this issue?

Still works for me. I got all the way to the point of completing the purchase and the price stayed the same, plus sales tax, of course.

Energy efficient doesn't mean low energy - OLED are efficient, but they still use a lot of power depending on the scene because they get so damn bright these days.

That said.... No one using a 98inch TV as a projector replacement for Movie watching gives a damn about VRR either.

All the trolls trying to push 55-65" OLEDs that cost $3000 are just trying to justify their purchases. Pixel peeping, probably have a magnifying glass when guests come over and try to show them why its worth $3000 and why its better watching on their tiny 60" over the 100" that people are impressed to actually see.

I beat you there, I at least take out my Nintendo Switch OLED and when we have people over I unplug it from the dock thats playing on my 100" screen, so I can point to my guests that its better quality playing it on the tiny screen
