Better priced than the Microcenter deal. Wish it had more storage though.

Look, I'm invested in the Apple ecosystem and all, but at this point, "Built for Apple Intelligence" just means "half-baked empty promises and shitty Siri."

Appears to be in stock according to Costco app, as always YMMV and don't run with scissors.

Genuinely asking, why do people consider this a better deal when compared to the 13" Air with the M4 and 16GB?

15" is better than 13" for looking at.

Because 15 > 13. If you need or want more screen real estate for work, editing, or media consumption, the 15 is a better choice. If you want a more compact, travel friendly device, the 13" is better.

Yes, the M4 is a better chip. But as someone who has both, with an M4 Mac mini and an M3 MacBook Air, the performance difference in real world, day-to-day tasks like office work, emails, spreadsheets, Internet browsing, basic photo, and video editing, etc. isn't noticeably different.

Hell, my wife still uses an M1 MacBook Air. I asked her if she wanted a new one, and she looked at me with a confused look and said "Why? This one still works fine." I wish I thought like that. It would save me a lot of money.

But, back to the point, whether the 13 or 15 is a better deal comes down to personal preference and individual use case. The 15 will be a better deal for some, the 13 a better deal for others.

For upgrading from like an M1, it seems like holding out for M4 seems to be the way to go unelss it was the same price with 512GB
