Using a scissor jack 4x to complete a brake job is a real pain. And lifting a vehicle up from a center point to get the entire front or rear up for jack stands - you can't do that with scissor jacks.
Work smarter, not harder.

Should be all of them. If you search the interwebs you'll find a letter from the CEO/founder whatever he is. I gave my buddy my 2 sets of 12 tons and even though they weren't explicitly listed in the recall the previously mentioned letter says they'll take back any stands of that era. He showed them that letter and the shop gave him the refund after initially saying no. I had my 6 tons exchanged, only problem I had was when I did it was right after the new versions came out and everyone was exchanging so they were out of stock for a while. Somehow ended up with 3 sets of the recalled 6 tons and eventually exchanged all 3.
I have their 1.5 ton aluminum one. Was that part of it?
*edit*
I didn't even know they made 1.5 ton jack stands. I don't see them being listed on the site.
I have an old set of the six ton stands, but I have never been able to fully read the numbers to confirm the recall. I wonder if they will still take them back?
Edit: as recommended above I found this message. I'll be taking my old ones back.

For some reason my 2.5 ton craftsman jack isn't tall enough to lift either an Escape or Equinox rear end high end to remove the tire. Using the block method worked on both with varying results.
During one instance the 2 1/2" paving stone block broke in two. This was possibly due to firm and soft ground creating weak points for stability in the paving block. Or it just wasn't thick enough to hold the weight properly.
On a different time last week, I used two, side by side, with a gap between, 5" paving blocks to laterally hold the jack without the wheels on the blocks and also an old cedar lumber piece to give grip for the handle 1-2" of the jack. This method worked best and felt safer.
Both instances worked to get the job done but 5" blocks seemed best for my situation.
First Jack? Buy jack stands, never trust hydraulics alone to not give out and crush your head. Saved 75 bucks but got their head crushed by brake caliper or chest crushed by a differential is officially a dumb way to die.
Also, reading some comments on here scares me. Never jack up the car without putting blocks on the tires staying on the ground, and NEVER get under your car without lowering it onto jack stands first, and give it a little push (a little don't try to knock it off ha) after it's on the jack stands to make sure it's not going to fall off on top of you.

Got it. I still have the 3 ton jack stands, sounds like those would be eligible.

What they need is the long-reach jack, which is also on sale for $179.

With any floor jack, any, exercise caution.
Shake the vehicle first, never go under a vehicle with just the floor jack, etc
