I don't agree with your statement. I wear a lot of wool clothes from different brands. I wear wool clothes everyday. Eileen Fisher is higher end women's wool clothing company with good quality wool. They don't list gsm.

There is a special lanolin wash which helps with the odor resistance but you can also use once in awhile normally regular non-perfumed detergent for allergies. Then once in a blue moon use the lanolin soap.
