The a35 is good, and is likely the last of the "good" Samsung a-series phones with an SD slot. The a36 and a56 don't have them.
I got the previous (nearly identical) a54 deal and was very happy with it. The two phones are architecturally almost identical (same processors and ram). It's not a speed demon, but is fast enough to do all "normal" stuff, like social media, email, phone, etc... without any real performance problems. Maybe a gamer would be disappointed with it, and it will be getting OneUI 7 very, very soon.
Porting in a number is a hassle -- if you don't already have a phone number.
The whole ID verification is just...how do the kids say it nowadays...."totes wack".
No idea how they're storing your image and credentials -- or who has access to them -- or what the process is for them to expunge that data -- or who is ensuring they're following best practices.
Oh who am I kidding, your DL and image are being sold to the highest bidder. We all know that.

If you still want to try it, my recommendation is give up after you first unsuccessful attempt. There is a 99.99% chance it wont work and since is a third party id verification total wireless cant help you

Again contacted Unlocking department, they told it is not their problem and if it is not working it is not their problem. Finally the phone in locked to Total.
Don't buy a phone with this company that has useless unworthy customer service.

The FCC can help you. They helped with the last Samsung fiasco
It will unlock and you don't need to pay for month 2. All you need to do is put in a different sim from a non-Verizon provider and it will unlock. I have done it many times. You may need to turn on WiFi. No need to call. It will reboot and unlock

The key is to truly activate it by making a few phone calls. The phone number has to be registered to their network. You can't leave the phone unopened for 60 days and expect it to unlock. You have to take it out and TRULY activate. I normally call and answer on a different phone. Then dial the new phone and answer as well. I can prove I activated it.

Sometimes you have to start it from computer and then transfer/finish on phone.

I ordered a Moto Edge 2024, I heard I could buy the 2nd one cheaper, is that true? If so, how?
Thanks!
can you do this again on the same account? (I.e. not have to do verification again) I do have my old account as inactive since I didn't renew service after the initial 30 days.

I called total Wireless they confirmed I can only have the code sent to the number I'm trying to Port from when trying to place order. Fortunately I was able to move my esim from my lost phone into another spare phone I had. But now I'm stuck in the next step verify process. Wheel keep spinning
I'm currently stuck in the verify process I tried option one and two and the wheel just keeps spinning. Did you use the camera on your phone to scan the verify QR code from the phone you're trying to Port from? I haven't tried this yet since I don't have physical access to the phone currently that I want to Port from
