Well...if you are in Target.

Look forthe clorox too. Buy the airwick and the sobe. Smilie

Not too sure if I should be in a good mood or not. Darn work; the casino. Now posted all part time people can only work 3 days a week. They can pick up ONE day every other week 56 hours max in a pay period. Mind you I have been working four days a week there and the other three at Penney's.

Here is my thoughts. IF I go fulltime. I will get the 8-4am shift. Have probably Mon Tues off at the casino. On Friday and Sat the shift is 9-6am instead. My problem is if I do this I can NOT sell the stockpile. No $500 weekends. No one to set up the stuff in time at the fleamarkets. Also this shift you get sent home early on most weekdays.

Then Penney's hours will also change a wee bit. If I have a permanent schedule at the casino.

This is what I am telling myself. Three days a week is good at both jobs. I will have ONE day off every two weeks to clean and shop. This is good right????

I figured once the summer selling season is over I can go fulltime. I will know where I am at on the laid off list from the other job. I can make better plans for me for my future. Yes, I want health insurance, But my take home pay will not greatly increase if I go full time.

I know I am whining but geesh. I am hoping I am thinking logical about this.

What are the Papa John's peelies attached to? Haven't seen those yet.

And as for the Clorox hangtags- I'm allergic to latex. I still collected them but had to be very careful not to touch the rubber parts until I got home and got my scissors out. I wonder if I called the 800 number if they'd send me some coupons

Not whining at all. It would be hard for me to give up the 500.00 too. Thats good extra income for a day's work.

Papa John's peelies are on movies at T. I have found them mostly on the back wall of movies, and also in the kids section. They are usually with movies that have a peelie with coke or popcorn on it. The papa John has a pizza photo on it.

Next time you see the clorox hangtags, just pull firmly on it, it will come right off and you won't have to touch the latex at all.

Redjen - yikes on the allergy! Those are some dangerous q's to collect for you!

Thanks for the reminder.

Your plan sounds pretty good for the selling season - or is there a way to go full-time at JCP (do you want to do that there) and still come out ahead without losing your weekends?

Also, have you tried doing craigslist? Maybe you'd be able to make about the same amount of $$ without the flea markets. Or, maybe plan to do that for winter time to test it out. *shrug*

Hmm... if you get sent home early from the casinos, maybe look at it as an opportunity to work the "shopping for deals job"... lol. You'd probably have to stay pretty organized and take your coupons with you, but I bet you could get good at doing that. Also, would anyone ever be willing to trade you a weekend shift, or can you maybe work it out to get 1-2 selling weekends off in a month?

I have a weird sort of pressure pain today in a not-so-publicly-mentionable place... Embarrassment It's more annoying than unbearable. Ugh... I did a lot of sitting/reclining at the wedding, but maybe i still pushed it. Dunno... *sigh* This pregnancy stuff is so temperamental! Baby is still trying to do somersaults in my belly though - she's going to be a handful, I expect!

I typically do a lot of grilling in the summer, but today I have a taste for roast chicken and lemon/garlic broccoli with toasted almonds. Gonna cool the house down a bit, then slow cook the chicken. Hopefully it won't be too bad since I won't be heating the oven to full blast. I also want a good beef veggie soup, but I don't have the veggies I need! I definitely need to shop tomorrow.

Thanks Teri...for the response.

My next flea market date is June 12/13. Some cowrokers are talking about the new casno that will be opening in PA in July. Dealers and such will be going there. PA I think has Kroger. Oh my...maybe I should look into the sign on bonus... Smilie

Thinking hard where there is a Papa John's around here, they close a couple of their locations. Free is good I could shop until I picked up the pizza. Yum!

Can't afford to go Fulltime at Penney's. Pay is just over $10/hr. Mortgage is WAY more. What I make at the casino fulltime will just cover my mortgage and condo dues. Nothing else. Just sucks big time I have been laid off for almost 18 months now. I just don't want to be working two jobs forever. Well like the next two years or whatever this economy picks up.

Need to look for peelies. Hopefully for a quick run at Target before work and a stop at Wags too.

WW wishes for all. Hope everyone has a great day!

When mine slowed down on the sales I started using them to avoid giving people a discount. When they would ask for stuff cheaper I would say that since they spent over a certian amount they could choose a free item and had several different things for them to choose from (all the poor/slow sellers)
That is a good idea!

Sounds like you're working really hard and working really long hours, so don't feel like you're whining. And it sounds like you are thinking logically about it on the financial side... stockpile sales can bring in lots of $$. Hopefully you have health ins even if you aren't fully benefited at work. hug

Still haven't seen a PJ peelie.. was looking for those karate kid movie things and haven't seen those either. My target doesn't even sell the movies that someone told me they found them on..

So, these are on the wall with the drama movies and such. Are they on the front of the box?

hug That does suck big time. I'm amazed that you aren't whining! So many folks would be heavily tempted to roll over and play the helpless-poor-me card! (I'm one of 'em!) I really hope things come back for you.

I'm in Fort Lauderdale--where it was so hot and humid I almost melted today!

I forgot to quote the Glade/airwick question but I sell the large unit for $5 and the smaller ones for $4. Can't keep them in stock. I do really well on all Glade/smelly stuff-- you all should send it down here for me to sell for you! LOL
Don't melt!! How's the baby? Any great T's to hit? I need to go or else I will be having withdrawl plus staying that long I am sure I will be cooking down there...

Yep, qqueen is right - we gots lots of Targets and SuperTargets too. You're probably better off visiting our stores than going to Monkey Jungle. Way too hot outside, even the monkeys will think you are crazy for visiting them LOL.
We have NO ST's up here..it is the suxs!! Have you ever been to the Monkey Jungle? LOL I just want to go... LOL probably worse than the kids HAHA!! How are your stores?

I think they are for a free medium pizza - I dont' have any yet, but that's what I seem to remember reading.

I really shouldn't complain too much. This isn't half as bad as I'm sure many other's have been through!

But.. it is nice to be able to whine a little. Big Grin

For whatever reason, I think this baby just likes to get low - and that is putting some pressure on a nerve or something. Thankfully the pain isn't unbearable - it's just realllllyyyy annoying. I think I'm also just so amazed at not only how different each pregnancy has been - but how REALLY different this one is! And this one is like a little gymnast or something - lots of somersaults and flips and goodness-knows-whats!

I can't. As evidence this morning. Went to T to pick up a prescription. Had the kids so I figured I would peruse clearance and maybe pick up some benadryl sticks and bandaids Evil. DS wants to go out into the garden center to look at the plants (he is such a little freakazoid). We see that T sells Milkweed. Game on my friends. I throw together a little run, toss 6 plants in the cart and we check out in the garden center. My little Jedi boy not only wanted me to flip the Qs out 1 at a time for him so he could scan them but he also requested that I just go ahead and cover the right barcode for him! I of course obliged, because I'm a giver. Roll The guy behind me was totally impressed by how none of my Qs beeped and how I managed with with the baby in the Bjorn and DS standing next to me "helping". As I'm pushing the cart, with a 20lb baby strapped to me and trying to hold DS's hand while trekking ALL the way across the parking lot, because of course I hadn't parked near the garden center, I couldn't help but think to myself "really, I really just can't go in and spend $20 on a GC and not do a run". Whee

ROFLOL... yup... sounds like something i would do. I mean seriously, if I'm going to spend a $20 gc, then I need to get something for it.

I wish we had garden centers here. They have a section with gardening stuff - but no garden center. Sounds quite lovely. (is there a deal on the plants?)

Oh - and I always end up at the wrong end of the store when checking out - half the time I just try to park in the middle... lol.

*sigh* I'm daydreaming about T visas.
