Ariel, did the MFQ beep on the kleenex hand towels or the TQ..It would really suck if they start limiting to 2 like MFQ....
The update doesnt make sense..

I found out something new to me by accident...The Old Spice bodywash with the little bonus travel size attached is 37000 and some of the other OS have other barcodes. This made some of my coupons misbehave. Im not sure if thats the deal or not, but just a heads up for future purchases.

The MQ were the ones beeping. All my TQs sailed through just fine. I never use Q's that beep, so this is new.

All my OS were 37000, I checked, and even if they weren't, the qs would have beeped and the screen would have came up, not the MQ's scanning thur at $0.00.

I don't know about the Sobe's - maybe if they used TQ's and gave them first it messed up the bogo?? But the OS are 01 q's, and some cashiers/mgrs just don't know how to deal with them. I've had them handed back to me and had to explain that they needed to scroll up and select the item. (this is why I try to not use 01's at T!!) I had a cashier tell me the other day "It used to be we could just type in the amount and go, but now it wants us to select the item" (which I knew and was glad he knew) but then he said, "I'm just going to take them off your order because it's easier than scrolling through everything." My OS are 14's.

Also, I have no one that really "shops" these 2 stores, but there are some ppl that are in the bay area.

Ariel - do you think there is anyway the right barcode was scanned? I had something similar happen last week on a set of b1g1s when she covered the wrong side. I knew the problem was the wrong barcode because I saw her do it. Maybe I'm just hoping there is a simple explanation. Ugh.

I thought that last night, as one of my Jedi's can be quite careless in how she scans, but no. For sure it was the left barcode today.

Funny about the kleenex. My friend bought 6 and after the first few it beeped and said item wasn't there. These were her MQ's. The target went through fine.

Sorry... I was referring to the other poster in Deals - I think they were using the 01 q's.

I wonder if the stores can set individual limits - i.e. if store A wants to limit customers to 3 like items with q's, maybe they could do that?? It is very odd.

I think I remember you writing that your jedi's tried covering the funky bar code - right? Hm...

Were the q's belt scanned or gun scanned? I've had weird things happen before when it was one vs. the other. I've also had certain mq's just act weird at one time, then later no problems.

And now that you mention it, the other day I had 3 gillete bogo bw. First one auto'd, 2nd prompted, and 3rd one auto'd. I did have Olay too, and I think bounce fabric sheets. I am not sure if everything was belted in the proper order - high to low, but I wonder if something like that didn't happen...

Or maybe it's a newish thing if you get different varieties?? Like how Kmart auto's if you get all the same exact thing, but if you get different flavors/scents then it pops up a screen??

and so the speculation continues!! Oy!

On the Kleenex ones - do the barcodes match? Any shorty's or alt. codes? That is odd...
