Pretty slick deal. But if I were to get another one of these banks, I'd want at least one AC outlet for larger electronics.

exactly! thats why I got this one instead since occasionally I may need the AC outlet for small items like maybe a solder tools or a small heater/fan and chargers for my AA/AAA batteries

It is the form factor. I have the older 548, and units like this are nice to charge personal devices and capacity that are much more than typical battery banks. Took it camping, and it was great. It's great to have around the house for emergency as well. This new version does not have the light like the 548, but the bigger one does.

River 2 & 3 are just a great deal though for having 120v outlets though. I've seen these anker ones and it's takes a much more specific scenario to use it.

If you're referring to Amazon, I believe that is for the R3+ "270" model, which is slightly lower capacity (268 Wh) than the standard 286Wh model at $229. Possibly discounted due to using binned battery cells...not sure whether there might be any reliability concerns with the $40 price difference. Still, one of the best options available today for the price, I think.
