This is a really good price. Pretty much the same price as their 256gb. This won't last. I picked up 5 for my retro gaming consoles.
You will wind up like me. Broke, with a house full of stuff.
seems like re-brand of this: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-mi...B09X7DQJQL

walmart price is fantastic.

If you scroll to the bottom of that page for the 512, you'll see the 256Gb for 12.99. It wont come up at that price if you search, I dont know why, but the 256 is also a steal for this speed and still on sale as of right now.

Disregard, this deal is dead now too.

Yes, but if you click + to add to cart, the price changes to $21.49. The same thing happens when you click on the picture; the product page will show $21.49.

Yep.
These cards have a MTBF rating (mean time between failure). Meaning if you wrote the entire capacity of the card, and then overwrote it again, and continued to do this (like recording video to capacity then overwriting the oldest) this is just about the quickest way to burn out these cards.

Differently, if you write to it once, plop it in a gaming device, and only do small writes but mainly reads, that is much more gentle usage of the card and it would last a lot longer.
You are confusing endurance with MTBF. Endurance i.e. the number of times the flash medium can be erased and reprogrammed is what matters for longer life in video recording scenarios, where the old data is being erased and new data is being written.

MTBF is a statistical factor that applies to all electronics. Its just how many failures can be expected on a population when run over time.

I stand corrected.

So these are good for video cameras? So many people said no and I'm lost now.

Any microSD will be usable in a video camera or dashcam etc. But cards that are have higher endurance will last you a longer time. Within Sandisk's offerings the Max Endurance > High Endurance > ImageMate cards. But at this price even if you burn through this card quickly, it may not be a big deal.

Some people have commented that if your card in use on a dashcam, ends up not usable in the middle of a trip, and you end up in an incident, then thats a problem. So there is risk. But there is risk that a higher endurance microSD can go bad for other reasons.

IMO, this card is perfectly usable for all use cases, especially at this price point!

Thank you for the response. What else are people buying multiple of these using them for if not cameras?

I have no idea, maybe on gaming consoles, raspberry pi, DSLR, additional storage on phones?

Dang, I just bought this for a dashcam. How/why do these fail? Too much read/write? How did you realize it failed?
Realized it failed when I went to go look at the footage of who vandalized my car and it was blank. I assume the ones for dashcams also withstand the heat of summer time in cars better.
