I'd probably get the Midea from Costco when it goes on sale this week

I was considering that also until I was reading how hard they are to clean and mold growth

I'm in the same boat. The u shaped ones all have reports of mold growth and being hard to clean because of the shape.

With how much money you'll save on electricity over 3 years, it would be cheaper to just toss the Midea over this energy hog if cleaning is difficult for you.

Seems weird that it states it's neither UL or ETL listed. Says to me that this thing isn't safe.

Very valid point, just like to point out those who are in dry climates don't really have to worry about this. I'm in AZ and mines been running almost 3 years now, I don't even bother covering it in the winter and no mold at all.
