These are $49.49 with clipped coupon on Amazon including the red switches if you prefer that over this one with brown.

Interesting concept... but I have some qualms about the compromises it makes. It looks like the keys would be exposed and vulnerable on all sides when folded, and it's still pretty bulky. If one desired a truly compact portable keyboard, why not go for a non-mechanical keyboard with a slimmer profile that actually protected the keys?

Well, those exist. But the typing experience can be sub-par (trust me on this one). So you have choices. Is the typing experience more important, or size? I must admit to being tempted by this offer.

Red switches are already an option. No reason to pay an extra $7 if you don't have to.
But I like blue switches. I love annoying those around me 😁

The cloth bag covers that. Of course, as some argue, it doesn't take up any less room than a non-folding keyboard. But it's also smaller than any mechanical non-folding keyboards I could find, making it more portable. If you can find one small enough to be portable, I'm sure a flat keyboard in a hard case would be more secure. But I've had mine rattling around in my bag on every trip I make and nothing has happened to it in a year or so.

That's the thing... if I were on the move, I'd optimize size; if I had a desk, I'd optimize comfort. If I regularly traveled between offices, I'd keep a regular keyboard at each destination and use a slim keyboard on the road. This kinda-sorta portable device occupies neither niche, though I suppose it might appeal to a true nomad who must set up shop anywhere and tear it down when done.

So... this thing is cool and I want one, but I'm having a hard time justifying it 😂

Kind of wishing they would make this in BT 6.0 or even 5.4 - using this for work in hotels I would feel more safe knowing it had AES-256.

I have the previous iteration of this folding keyboard which had low profile keycaps vs normal(? cherry?) profile keycaps. Frankly, it's not a great typing experience (red switches). The front height is rather high, and I always felt like I needed a wrist rest to use it which works against the portability of it

Edit: My version (RK925) has low-profile switches with only 2 pins and chiclet-style keycaps. The F68 still has low-profile switches & keycaps, but at least the switches have a classic Cherry stem, so you can swap keycaps. The keycaps also has some sculpted profile. My comment about the height/thickness of the keyboard should still apply.
