7 digital movies or just 1 physical plus digital film. Decisions.

One never owns Digital copy VS the Physical copy. Decisions.

I wish they could have included the Extended Cut with the Faro game like the DVD-ROM!

I collected DVD, then HD DVD and Blu Ray, then digital HD/UHD movies. I have around 1600 DVD/HDDVD and Bluray movies and about 1500 digital movies. I used to watch movies on my 65 LG OLED and 110 HD projection screen. After I got the 100 inch Hisense U8K and the 85 inch TCL QM851 and the Panasonic UB820, I started collecting the 4k Physical Disc of which I have about 150 now. There is really no comparison when watching Blu Ray or 4K on a big screen as compared to streaming. There are some Blu Rays that would compare very well to 4k ( i.e. The Irishman Criterion) . For me the physical disc is the way to go now especially when the price of the 85, 98 or 100 inch TVs are within reach of the average consumer.

Not really; this was announced before his death, and the price is lower than it had been on some other sites. Is it a lot of money for one movie? Yes, but that's because it's a new release (pre-release, really), 4K, a steelbook, probably a good transfer, and a very popular film.

Yes, one physical 4K movie that you can own in perpetuity, share with your friends, and that will retain some value and be sold later if you so choose.
Or you can wait for the non-steelbook edition that's likely to follow eventually, and that will probably be available at some point for a third of the price of this release.

There is an international non-steelbook that will be available, but based on Disneys recent history, unless they announce a regular version with the steelbook in the US, there will only be this steelbook. Look the price for other movies released on steelbook like Inside Out 2 for example, it will likely be only this, and the price ain't coming down.

These ridiculous prices for new releases are what assisted in killing the 4K/UHD Bluray market. Sure, the price will come down to $10-$15 in a few years, but the hobby gets expensive. And yes, I know steelbooks go for a bit more. I was a collector and have over 600 4K discs, but once the brick and mortar stores stopped carrying them, I lost some interest. You now never know if you're getting a slip case cover or what condition the packaging will be in once it arrives at your front door. I've gotten so many beat up items from places like Amazon and Deep Discount.

You may very well be right, and I like this movie well enough that I'm not going to take that chance, which I'm sure is exactly what Disney was counting on when they set the price.
