It helped me know that the deal worked for others and may also be helpful for others wondering if it's worth having both services or not

My grocery deliveries were always wrong. I was always receiving only part of my order or someone elses order entirely. Is this a problem for others?

PSA: WM grocery purchases don't code as groceries for debit/credit card offers.

So get this, if you go to cancel, you'll get the same offer for when your subscription renews. Mine renews in July and now it'll be $49.

Thanks for the heads-up! Just did this.

I don't know exactly what it will be, but the page says "Walmart+ Week offers start 4/28" so probably trying to boost membership before then Smilie Verified with a couple coworkers that this worked for them so hopefully no one has issues.

I live in the Bay Area and a lot of people around this area dont shop at Walmart because of 'principals' or some other silliness. Which is great for me because my orders get processed and delivered a lot faster compared to my amazon orders.

Buyer beware and take a screen capture or photo. I accepted the $49 discount offer last year and Walmart charged my credit card the full price. When I contacted them, their excuse was that the $49 offer can only be used once. They even refused to honor their own confirmation email acknowledging the $49 price. I had to file a credit card dispute using the email confirmation and screen capture of the $49 price. I love WM plus because they ship faster than Amazon Prime and I have never received a damaged item. Returns are easy in store or by mail.

That's not true at least in my area. A Walmart employee shops the order and a gig employee delivers. Like I said, shoppers don't even have the option to tip with many of the payment options. The orders always go out though. Maybe you're thinking of orders placed through Instacart or Doordash?
No its called walmart spark, and they can see the tip amount for the order. You can read about it on their forums where they discuss spark drivers.

For me, this is still not a deal at $49, I have a neighborhood and a super walmart within a few minutes of my house, I do not get Walmart gas, Costco gas is cheaper and better, used to get prescriptions at walmart but switched to Amazon pharmacy, which is significantly cheaper (Walmart is $84 for 3 month supply with insurance, Amazon is $16, even though Amazon does not accept my insurance)
You can use the walmart app to get gas at Sams, for me Sams gas is usually cheaper than costco because they directly compete with each other.

I've renewed a few times. Positive experience overall. Last week, I ordered 4 cans of Lysol which were fulfilled from 3 different locations. A bit annoying.

Doesn't amazon pharmacy include consultation with online medical staff first. I had to pay for text message evaluation and then separate fee for prescription meds

Worked for me, but probably won't sign up again. The free delivery was nice, but I'm already paying for an Amazon Prime membership and I can wait for next day.

Paying for Amazon Prime? Totally irrelevant here!

Just FYI for those who don't know, without Walmart+ there is no minimum on pick up, but with Walmart+ there is -- other wise they charge a fee.
Other than that annoyance, the membership was nice for me, and I liked the free returns from home where they picked up the order or you could drop it off. But the price just isn't justified with the store being one stop-light away and I can do free pick up (or send in a healthy teen to grab items lol).

When I had it previously, I combined an AmEx $49 cash back offer with Walmart offer of $50 Walmart Cash -- plus cash back site. So free/money maker.

I only used delivery once when we were traveling and set up an order to have items for a party delivered directly to the location around our arrival time. Getting the other things we needed with free delivery from Sam's Club helped save on cost of rental car/uber, so that was definitely a perk -- but honestly, without a paid membership I could've just paid the delivery fee that one time.

We didn't use the delivery other times because of the tip expectation -- again, just not worth it with the store so close. A $2-3 tip seems like it wouldn't be appreciated, and $5 is overkill. Especially when my orders are usually so small, I don't really grocery shop at Walmart so my orders are usually a few random items like light bulbs, shampoo...things like that.

But my last few months of the membership I did began using the delivery to help an elderly family member out of state get groceries once a month. After the membership expired I saw a deal on a cashback site to get $98 cash back on Walmart+ Assist which they qualified for from Medicaid/care (don't remember which) -- so again, this was a money maker. Even at $49 I'd say it's very good for an elderly person that lives alone with no vehicle...but for me, not really justified. Their groceries are too expensive and I've also learned they're doing like a lot of other stores and the online price is sometimes higher than in store.

All of this is just details to consider for those who might not know.

Yeah, you open up the walmart app, click the "services" icon at the bottom, then click "Walmart pay & fuel"
It uses your camera to scan the QR code on the pump
