This or Samsung 990 pro for the cost? 990 is faster but is it worth it?

Getting warmer. Last time there was a massive oversupply of NAND chips 1TB drives dropped to $29.

Are we likely to see that again anytime soon?

What's the significance of this?

I need a pair for a qnap server, running them as raid 0 for apps (not media which will be on HDD). I really don't need a tb so probably overkill

Do not run ssd in raid0, latency matters more in apps than through put.

If qnap doesn't support hmb it's trouble

Ahh i meant raid 1. I don't need any more speed just redundancy. The actual hard drives are raid 5

No DRAM, low TBW, and (personally) it looks to be priced at what I expect regular price for a higher quality drive, like a wd SN5000... which happens to be the same price on Amazon at the time of writing: https://www.amazon.com/Western-Di...CE31624QLV

This drive should never be $95, unless it's due to some insane taxes that Trump trumped up.
