Meh...Pinching pennies on a build? Sure. Have a few more bucks? Get some CL30.

The non-aRGB version with CL30 is the same price: https://www.newegg.com/patriot-32...6820225334

However, it's important to note that timings only translate to a 2% performance difference in synthetic benchmarks, which means the average user probably won't see it in real world usage.

For the average user, prioritizing capacity, then clock speed will provide the most benefit (and making sure to use matched pairs).

I definitely wouldn't recommend nearly tripling your memory budget just to get CL26 when the other timings are identical or worse than what this comes with (26-36-36-96 is not uncommon).

I concur with going cl30. Cl26 is where it's negligible benefit for the cost.
Also 64gb is still prob overkill for gaming. Unless you're main game is flight simulator aka if you need 64 you'll already know it.
32gb ddr5 6000 cl30
the rest of the cookie cutter gaming build: 9800x3d + 9070xt

Agreed. We're all chasing that last 2% here and there with PBO and lower RAM timings. They do add up.

Arguably, not enough to matter outside of benchmarks.

I would prioritize something else if I was looking for a meaningful upgrade relative to price.
