Compared to the Dell Alienware Aurora Desktop (ACT1250)this system offers a stronger overall package: it has a better CPU (AMD Ryzen 9 9900X vs. Intel Core Ultra 7), double the RAM (32GB 6000mhz vs. 16GB 5200mhz on dell), and twice the SSD storage (2TB vs. 1TB). You also get liquid cooling and better upgrade flexibility compared to Alienware desktop, which is more difficult to modify and reuse case later.
On the other hand, the Dell gives you a higher wattage PSU (1000W vs. 850W) and includes a Platinum-rated PSU versus Gold.
Another plus for this system is the 2-year warranty, which offers longer coverage compared to Dell's standard 1-year.
Overall, you're getting more performance and value with this build. Unless you have 10% coupon for dell and CB. Then dell can be had for around 2k flat.
From what I can tell, this is near the cost of building it yourself (at least when I used pcpartpicker). Also we have no clue what the pricing of these may jump up to over the coming weeks so if you're looking, I'd personally recommend buying.
The other parts are nowhere near $1400 if you shop around

Seems like it's going in and out of stock now so keep monitoring if it's the right fit for your needs.

Does anyone know if this is a suitable machine for video related content editing ? I'm reading comments saying Adobe premiere pro doesn't fully support rtx 5080. Is it better to go with 4080 then if that's my primary use case ?

Got mine. Set it up. Works great, pretty quiet and great airflow. Not too many cons yet. The mouse that it came with is extremely cheap and doesn't track my table well, but the keyboard is nice and clicky. In case it matters to anyone: the MSI motherboard does proper S3 sleep down to 0W at my smart plug. None of that Dell/Alienware Modern Standby nonsense.
Did you get any free game for the 5080 or for the AMD processor? I think there was some kind of promotion around but not sure for this specific desktop. Thanks for your first impressions. Mine is coming tomorrow and I'm very excited.

No free games that I'm aware of, at least nothing Costco told me about or anything that showed up when I started the PC.

See if there is a coupon in the box. Looks like MSI is an official vendor based on this page but not sure if that includes selling through Costco:

https://us-store.msi.com/AMD-mons...nter-wilds

https://www.amdrewards.com/terms

If it is, should be for the monster hunter game.

Thanks for the heads up, registered both the desktop and GPU and didnt see monster hunter wilds under eligible promotion. Got in touch with chat customer support and he suggested [email protected] but Im not sure if they will help. All depends if costco is a participating. Worth a shot and will keep the thread updated on what the email says

Huh, I was not expecting the motherboard to only have 2 slots for RAM. That's disappointing.

Love it!! Played tlou part 2 at 100 fps, ac shadows at 80 fps. All max out and in 4k, just soooo smooth and didn't even notice sound from the pc. Gpu got to 60ish at max load and cpu stayed in 50s. No regrets, I was coming from a 2080 super

With Trump exempting the tariffs for PC components, still satisfied with the order. If a really slick deal comes in the next 88 days then luckily costco is amazing!
