I used a google voice number and received the activation text and was able to place an order with the phone. I'll most likely get a different phone number as this will be a work phone. Did not pay the $3 fee but had to use my Original Gmail linked account. I tried using my business email w google voice and it would not let me select a phone number,
Well, It would not save any number I choose.

Kinda wish I got the 14 plus deal for $199 a few weeks back but left it in my cart and slept on it.

Yes, it's the new policy for all Straight Talk, Tracfone and Total Wireless locked phones. You have no choice, 60 days paid service required.

I think you still had to pay $265 + tax

That's including the one month of service. For this deal, you had to pay for two months up front. The cheaper plan is $55/mo so it came out to $310 +tax.
