Paid $120 more for this last October. Fantastic monitor. I was on the fence about curved displays before this one but it changed my mind in a hurry. Anything you play on it will look incredible, just make sure to adjust the color balance away from Samsung's awful oversaturated profile.

Curvature! Just google 1000r vs 1800r for an image. Basically turn your head less because more is in your peripheral. But depends on personal preference. Have had both and prefer 1000r

At this moment, i have 2300R,1800R and 800R monitors.

1800R only has slight curve to it. 2300R is basically flat screen.
800R is actually quite aggressive, i'd say it is pretty good as far as gaming is concerned.

one of the added benefit of bigger curves is that my 45 inch 800R screen is only slightly wider than the 35 inch 1800R screen (but does require more depth). i'd say a 45 inch 800R screen is possibly the biggest screen i can fit on a 72 inch wide desk with two speakers on the side.

Costco also has G9 OLED for $899.99 with 3 year warranty. Is there much of the difference here?

not enough vertical space for actual work. i think its a mistake not making it have the vertical resolution of a 32" 16:9. even for gaming most games stretch. terrible purchase had to return.

I got this a month ago at Samsung for $1000. Love using 49" for work as I split it into 3 screens (center = 24.5" monitor, left and right are 12.25"). But this particular panel is worse for text than the previous one that I had, which was a VA. I have a 5k2k 45" from LG coming today so will see if the higher resolution makes OLED good enough for text clarity.

$989 @ Samsung.com with EDU, + CB, +includes "up to $125 bestbuy gift card if you pickup at bestbuy". Technically that could be a better deal but not sure what "up to" means, why cant they be specific? lol

Do you have a link to calibrated settings that are better than factory?

Several between the G91SD (Costco) vs G95SC (this one):
  1. G95SC is a Smart Monitor with a remote, G91SD is a standard monitor
  2. G95SC has a 240HZ refresh rate, G91SD has a 144HZ refresh rate
  3. G95SC has a glossy screen, G91SD has a matte screen
  4. G95SC has speakers, G91SD does not
