The TPs don't have the manual setting either but do have a network optimization button to try and scan the airways and adjust. No option on eero 6 since it's supposed to be smart enough to do on its own. Additionally, TP is starting to add the manual option to some of their routers.
Another deciding factor for me was that these TP have 6ghz channel for the back channel if you intend to have them connect via wifi.
They've been great for my use case. It's an out of box solution for average customers

My Costco had a bunch of the 5300 at that price and wouldn't sell any to me because they marked them to return to the manufacturer.
Anyone complaining about speeds or wired issues either need to update firmware or return it for a new one. They work absolutely fine without issues and no downtime.

Edit: Lack of 3rd band might be a dealbreaker for the BE3500 or BE5000 at same price range with Wifi7

You can barely even get 1 good wifi 7 router for $220
Most people wont even use wifi 7 features, this is a great set of mesh routers for a good price. Assuming tp-link has fixed their security issues.
I have recently learned that it is not just about the Wifi 7 though. There are a few more benefits too. So that you have an idea on what I was using....
I am coming off of an AX88U that was AIMeshed with an AX58U. I always run Cat6 ethernet for the backhaul.
Was the Asus system stable? For the most part. But there were issues that I am realizing that the more advanced Mesh has solved.
Of course the older system could handle 100 devices...but you do start to notice a little lag after 60. And there is some dropping off of devices that might be related to the number too.
You realize how much these issues were going on when you are on the new Mesh. Everything ..from Plex starting up to surfing....it is all way snappier. I suspect that some of that is the 2.5G backhaul to the Server NIC but some of that is also the fact that this mesh can handle 200 devices...and is not burdened at all by 60+.
They talk together much better and share the load better than the old system ever did.
I have not used IOT yet. I have not needed to. The 2.4G devices that constantly gave trouble (especially the bulbs) on the old network have had no issues on the new system.
The new system has actually made setting up a SurfShark VLAN on the router easy. I played with it for years and never got it to work right on the old router. It set right up and was running in 15 minutes on the new.
And as good as the signal strength was....this is better. I did have mostly good signal with a few weak spots. Now it is strong everywhere.
The point that I am making is that you may not be heavy into Wifi 7 yet...but in the next year to 18 months, you will likely have multiple devices on it and growing. I do not know about you..but when I install a network, it stays with me for years. (I think I put the last in around 2018) As expensive as Wifi 7 is now, try spending $220 and then ripping it out in a year to upgrade.
And even if you are going to add devices that use Wifi 7 a little slower, it is not only about the Wifi 7. The newer mesh routers also come with a lot of improvements that I had known about ...but did not put the level of appreciation into that I probably should have.
