Hoover is the best I think for a home, dude I work with recommended it instead of Dyson but so far so good.

Reddit POV on vacuums is warped. They constantly recommend over priced Miele vacuums, many of which don't even come with a powered head. Now you might ask yourself, doesn't a powered brush head clean carpets 10x better than a suction head? It does! And you need to dish out even more $$ for a powered head attachment.
Honestly, Shark vacuums aren't the best when it comes to longevity. But $138 will get you a machine that can do hard floors, carpets, stairs, etc. with relative ease.
Anecdotally, I own this vacuum. It's a favorite in the family. Been going strong for about 2 years now.
