You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

Agree'd on best TotalWireless deal for iphone 13 yet, but it is indeed $165, not $155 -- this needs not be updated in the title. You can't apply "autopay' discount to first 3 month purchase at checkout.

I'm using google voice number for purchase; hoping the 2 month unlock works so I can use phone with another provider.

I just completed a purchase.. its $165 payment upfront for 3 months of service on the $55 plan. the price is $165 and not $155. OP please fix.

I tried to port a GV number to them last month and it never worked. Total W needed a zip code to process it. No zip code I used worked (tried mine, GV headquarters, random ones affiliated with area code and GV ). After many calls and countless zip codes tries, I ended up using a free TextNow number with no problem.
