You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

Some did. Lots of us are just sitting at "Pending Remote Fulfillment" like myself.

The fact that they're still accepting orders is probably a good sign at least. Hopefully we get some updates on shipping soon.

Quick question. I do not see IMEI listed in the 'Manage Lines' for the iphone 13. It is shipped and to be delivered day after tomorrow. But for other phones (android) the IMEI showed up in the list for online porting process even before the order was shipped. Not sure what's up with iphone IMEI listing. The number I am trying to port expires tomorrow (current service plan), but the iphone 13 will be delivered day after tomorrow. I am wondering how to handle this situation as my service ends tomorrow with current provider and need to activate and port day after tomorrow! Please share your experience. Thanks
