You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

This means total-wireless didn't authorize your porting yet. You need to contact customer service. I went through the same with GV number and there is a zipcode issue and totalwireless is unable to process it. Eventually I used textnow number and even that takes 2days for the porting to complete. Good luck, totalwireless customer service is terrible.
Actually it got completed on its own earlier today. I just gave it some time as I was confident in the data I had entered, thanks to helpful SD commenters.
The next day after the order was shipped

2) Can someone tell me what's the Chase cashback offer? Does Chase/Amazon Visa CC qualify?
3) Any other CB method that works on this deal?
Thanks!

Apple also like to maintain high resale value and will pay quite a bit to buy back their phones. With prior iPhone deals like this through Metro, straight talk, total, etc, I pretty much get my money back after a few years.
