You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

I ordered my Moto Edge 2024 from Total Wireless in April, and the phone has SIM unlocked after 60 days of service. However, I found the *eSIM* of the phone wasn't activated and the eSIM is disabled(greyed) today and I chatted with their support, they couldn't activate/enable the eSIM on my phone.
The Moto Edge 2024 definitely has eSIM on board, so they just enabled the physical SIM but not the eSIM. I felt being fooled
Any suggestions, thanks!
Update: I ordered on the 8th of June and it actually arrived to my USPS PO BOX with Street Address Service on the 12th. I just didn't check my mailbox until today since for some reason the tracking never came through although I got a delayed shipping back order notice e-mail and the order status checker shows pending.

I have tried reaching out to their social media accounts but they just tell me to DM them but there is no way to DM them.
support is saying they don't even see the phone on their end at first. then they find the phone but cant see anything else.

after talking to several people they all say their tool for tracking orders is not responding and they cant properly track the order. they will not give me a way to return the phone either and im not going to stay with them at this point. most likely if they wont let me return the phone ill be forced to do a charge back.
edit: i finally got someone to give me the return address. they said there should have been a return shipping label included in the package. there was not. I was told i have to pay in that case and once they receive the phone they will refund me. after spending all this time and getting absolutely nowhere I am just going to do a charge back and throw the phone away. I don't care if i ever get a phone plan from any network associated to Verizon anyway.
