$550 is still a lot of money for me but this seems like the deal I've been waiting for. I really like the articulating arm design for my space. Anyone have opinions on the deal or the saw?

This is about as good as it gets. I would buy this if you're in the market. The stand alone is $300 without any discounts and it NEVER goes on sale solo. I've seen people get this deal just for the stand and then get a different saw after selling the Bosch, but the Bosch is still one of the best miter saws on the market too. The stand is one of, if not the best, mobile stands available.
The only thing to really be aware of is that this is a big saw and a pretty big stand. If you're truly intending to bring a miter saw to the job site frequently I would look elsewhere for something more portable. This thing will be huge and heavy and really only meant to be moved around a garage or workshop and not really good for bringing to the worksite.

Saw is solid. Gravity rise table makes moving and placing so much easier. It also fits regular door openings and rolls down the basement. Glide arm gets rid of any required clearance behind the saw. Included blade is of good quality. At this price point, it's probably one of the best miter saws you can get.

I would've bought this instantly around BF when I was looking to replace my Ryobi 10. The only downside is that this saw is BIG (didn't matter to me since I keep it at home, but might be for a job site).
I ended up getting the Skil 10" and similar Rigid stand with wheels for under $400 (compared to $8-900 for the Bosch combo at the time) and I like the portability around my work area. I've heard the 12" can flex a bit more, especially when extended. I was also surprised that this saw didn't some with any kind of laser or light but apparently there's an addon kit.
