the classic version of the site is available without an extension for logged in users. the links to switch views are in the footer (if you're in redesign you'll see it on the bottom right of the page)

Another huge feature I no longer see is thread "tracking". Previously, there was a solace that would show if there have been any comments added to threads I have posted in. I would look at that numerous times a day, to keep updated on deals I was following or ones I purchased so I could track any updates and comments from the community. I would like that to come back as well.

Out of curiosity, can't devs access this forum to review suggestions?

The new app has such a "first gen" feel to it, almost as if devs took a step backwards in terms of how content is displayed and consumed. It's clunky and not as intuitive as the prior version.

Even reading through the comments section for a specific deal (in the app) is a clunky experience. I'm forced to expand "view all comments" and refresh the page in order to engage with the comments section. That's asinine.

Anyways, I came here to complain about the app and saw someone already posted a thread.

They check, but it takes a lot of back and forth compared to feedback through the app which notes which version you are using and has an easy way to upload screenshots. "View all comments" was removed by popular demand, I think you just have to update.

That makes sense. It gives devs a better understanding of which app version feedback is being provided for.

And good to hear about the "View all comments" feature being removed. I'm on iOS version 6.0.4-2912 and it has not been removed. I imagine devs haven't pushed through the update yet as I don't have an option to "update app" in the App Store.

I'm sorry but this new app design is so many steps back. If I try to reply and accidentally shift back, I lose my draft. Pulling up the app to load a refresh will randomly show errors. Why do I have a feedback button right by the post button? So confusing.

You can go directly to the app store listing to update to the latest version.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Which app version are you on? Totally understand the feedback about losing the comment draft - we will address that in a future release. Could you let me know what errors you are getting - this is every time you reload a feed? Thanks again.

Looks like 6.2.2 - 2973

I get a "general error - cannot load feed" but of course it's not doing it right now. If I see it again, I'll screenshot it and post it here.

Sorry, I didn't mention in my last reply that you can hide the feedback button if it is getting in your way. Profile -> Settings wheel -> App -> "Hide Floating Feedback Button".

I had the old version of the app on my tablet and new version on my phone for a few weeks. It was neat comparing them side by side. Alas, I missed the familiarity of version 5.38.1 and downgraded back to it. It was too many changes all at once.
