Have one of these it's very handy when I can find it.. my wife took it. It will show back up though… just like her toys, i control the batteries so she has to come back.
I have a side gig as a handyman and this works great for small drywall repairs and other similar projects. Much easier to carry this into someone's house or business than a full-size shop vac if you don't need something that big.
Was not a fan of this tool, I'd spend a bit more and buy the HEPA stick vac or the suitcase type (dcv580 or 581 if you want the dual power version) vac over it any day personally.

Totally agree with this comment. I have this vac along with the stick and a corded 4gal shop vac, and this vacuum is terrible compared to the others.
I use this all the time for small jobs like hanging TVs or drilling anything, sucking up the dirt in the cement trenches in the garage. It's very convenient. I should use it for wet stuff more often, I always forget that it's a wet/dry vac.

2 areas where DeWalt is horrible: 1. 20V vacuums, 2. 12V tools.
The bad vacuums is due to incompetence, the 12V is because of a marketing decision.
This vacuum and the DeWalt alternatives others have mentioned (580 and 581) are really poor products compared to what ALL other notable brands offer.
That's one opinion. I have a construction company and I personally like their vacs and 12 V tools, They are not for large jobs but for smaller jobs they are my go to....
Originally agreed with the negative reviews on this. Got one as a gift and despite the small capacity I use it often because it is actually SUPER handy.
