People tried to inform you that Acer is a well known brand (which it is) and you can easily verify. Of course you double down.

Acer is a well known Taiwanese brand. These cables look like a good deal compared to many other no name Chinese brands.

I feel like this is a really good price for 240W rated brand name cables. Will try on my new MBPM4

Possible but doubtful...these are power only cables as the data transfer is usb 2.0 speeds so probably old inventory as the new cables do video and fast data in addition to high power transfer.

I think you're confusing Acer for Anker.
I'm familiar with Acer. They probably don't manufacture these themselves, but Acer is a reputable company and they stand behind their products.

You may be right. But the longer a cable is and the more wattage it supports, the thicker it has to be. That's just physics. Also, braided cables will almost always be thicker.
The question is what devices are you planning to charge with the cable? If it is just phones, then a 240w cable is overkill. Most modern phones that support fast charging will be fine with a 100w cable. So are laptops actually. The USB-C standard supports up to 100w charging, so a laptop that supports more than 100w charging is likely to use some proprietary charging protocol and will require a proprietary charger and a cable anyways.
With all that being said, 240w cables have very limited use these days. There are simply very few devices that can take advantage of the 240w charging. So if cable thickness is a concern, but you still want to use fast charging, I'd go with a 100w cable instead. I personally use this Anker cable and love it. It is not cheap, but is relatively thin, flexible and very high quality https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093GGNRZM

Anker is just as generic as any other Chinese brand except that they spend a shit ton of money on marketing. I would put more trust in Acer any day over Anker.
