Cause it's more expensive and rarely goes on sale and we know how peeps on here operate
I actually thought the same and used clear calk around a tub, only to realize the black gap can be seen through the calk, very ugly. White calk would have been much better in that use case of white tub and white wall. In another case of black marble against white wall, clear calk looks perfect
Want to do this once and not have to deal with fixing it again when it will inevitably crack again, just use Sashco BIG stretch found at Lowe's around $10 but SO worth it! Can paint it, and won't crack again!
