I bought this from the Wen website for this price about a month ago. I've only got about 4 hours of run time on it but it's easy to start and quieter than I expected. I've used it to power up a couple of EcoFlow Delta 2s and it worked great. So my initial review is thumbs up on this.

Specs say 65 decibels at quarter load. That's pretty loud. I'm thinking about upgrading my Firman 2000/1600 but I think its quieter (59 dB at 1/4 load) so I'm not real sure.

I had one in my cart on their site, and literally as I was going to buy it the price jumped to $384, so I passed.
I don't need it (I have a 2000/1600 watt inverter, and a 14500/11500 generator running on NG as my primary generator), but for $300, why not.

Yeah, it is on the louder side for an inverter generator of this size, but still not that bad, and nowhere near as bad as an open frame unit.

I have both the firman and this wen. Both are solid generators. Paid $199 for the refurbished firman. Paid $250 with free shipping and no tax for the wen on black Friday. I don't know that I'd exactly call this wen an "upgrade" to the firman. Still a decent back up to the back up.
The wen is noticeably lighter. And a bit louder. Not as noticeable as you would think or as much as I was expecting based on the decibel rating. I believe the motors are roughly the same size. Since the wen has a little bigger inverter, the motor really gets cranked up to achieve those extra watts.
I really didn't need the wen generator at all. It was really just an impulse Black Friday purchase to see what $250 would actually get you in the portable inverter generator class. Honestly it's a pretty nice little unit. Doesn't really feel cheap or low budget either. I'm impressed so far...
