Yeah I was prepared to say "this is a great deal even though I think low end MSI build quality is trash" but with a 45W 4060... I don't think I would even consider this honestly.
I do think a higher end GPU uses less power. like the 4060 uses less than the 3060

They are more efficient. You get more "frames per watt," but the wattage generally stays the same or goes up. Otherwise you'd just be getting the same performance of the 3060 with less power usage.
It's not nVidia so much as it is MSI. The OEMs can set the TDP to whatever they want based on their cooling solution. 45w is ok at best, this laptop is a super cheap one tailored to someone who just wants a very basic gaming laptop and doesn't care about case or screen quality.
For $700 the Asus A16 at best when on sale, which normally is around $1000 will smoke this laptop twice over and a third time on Sunday.....
A 4060 with only 45watt power might as well not have it in the laptop, rather put a 4050 in there and price it for $500.
For battery efficiency does that mean at $700 the 4060 45watt does the same performance but less battery usage as the $500 4050 85watt? Because it sounds like the price premium is way to use less battery and heat if that's the case. Can anyone answer?

Why is this information not required to be right next to the specs of the 4060?
