and it's no wonder why there's a plastic island the size of Texas in the Pacific.

Yea, I try not to drink water from plastic bottles. Find the documentary called Tapped, that should get you started if you'd like to know why. I'd buy an RO setup for the house before I'd resort to living off plastic bottled water. Thankfully the tap water isn't bad where I live, just a little hard.

Is this the one that makes the water taste or smell fishy when it's time to change the filter? How long do the filters usually last?
For me it's lemon-y. I actually love this feature because I don't need to test it -- I know exactly when to replace!

But be be warned that the pitcher can be leaky. Obnoxious.

I've had the slightly smaller version of this. Had it for close to 3 years and counting. Never had any leaks. Sometimes, depending on the filter, it's a little slow to filter but the water is great taste and I've never had a single leak or malfunction of any kind. The filters last me between 4 and 6 months and it NEVER has tasted or smelled fishy. When it's time to replace the filter, it does get a bit of a metallic taste IMPE but I buy a 4 pack of filters at Walmart for like $40 bucks and by the time I run down to my last one I go and buy a new 4 pack. The filters come individually wrapped and you can buy genuine 12 packs for like $130 bucks on Amazon. Definitely recommend. In for one for my upstairs loft.
Good find OP. 💯

I agree. We have a RO system and rarely use bottled water.
Which system did you end up going with and how long have you had it?

and... its stuff like this is why i stay with the britta pitcher despite having to fill it a gazillion times per day.
Britta's filtering does not really compare to ZeroWater's filtering. Zerowater is designed to remove all TDS in the water, including PFAs

Amazon says "110 single-use plastic bottles per filter". At $10-$15 per filter change, it's not really a money saving solution when you can buy 40pk of 16.9oz purified water for $4 at Sams Club. Not to mention, the bottles are more convenient and take up less space.
"The bottles take up LESS space"? LOL

They have new water pitchers and filters either already available or available soon.
Probably getting rid of older stock? Idk, might consider purchasing this.

Is it good option to store counter top RO filtered water into this, and use this as a dispenser without the filters?

Ibam currently using a 5 gallon tank with a rechargeable dispenser top, its a bit unsightly.

You shouldn't have to live like that, call your city and get your water restored right away!

Less space in the fridge, in case you couldn't figure out what I meant. Most people put a few in the fridge and the rest in the pantry or cupboard.

Been a loyal user for 3 years. They make any water taste good. People are debating the flow rate and pitcher but not the quality of water, which is impeccable.

It purifies 110 water bottles per filter? That is just 14.5 gallons.
