Speaking frmommpersonal experience I do not recommend ON shoes or clothing. Their shoes are known to squeak after they start to wear, the materials they use don't hold
Up well. They're one of those companies that think their poop don't stink and we should be honored to wear their stuff. They position themselves as a trendy premium company and their clothes prices reflect that.
with the words "SWISS ENGINEERING" stamped or printed on various areas of the shoes, you know you got some really expensive propaganda shidt kickers

Although this can be a good deal, On offers 'last season' shoes ongoing & I encourage people to check out their inventory occasionally.

Are they all the same, or are some more comfortable than others?

no, they are not the same.
different series varies significantly from one to another. this is only a deal if you have tried, and know what works best for you.

I would say that's true for pretty much all the shoe brands. i don't think i had any success buying a shoe online without first trying it out in person.

I would have to agree but with the one caveat being that there's definitely a range of different materials and designs in their shoes so quality varies from model to model. I have the Cloud X 3 AD and that look and feel like they're designed as a lightweight shoe but it's so lightweight that the construction didn't hold up and they are impossible to clean because of the hard mesh material used in the upper.

If I were to buy On's again, I would probably only buy a "beefier" pair to really feel like I got my $100+ worth.

I can speak in experience. My ON shoes I had for about 2 months started squeaking. Never buying another pair. Going back to HOKA.

Ah the official middle age shoe that shouts "look, I'm still hip and healthy!" while being worn exclusively at Starbucks and to go shopping in.

The ones that break are probably made in USA.

I'm not sure what models yall have been buying that squeak or don't hold up, but I'll add my anecdotal experience with my Cloud X3s. They've been great, no squeaks, comfortable and light and although mine have developed a small hole in the upper mesh, that was only after having been worn 4-5 days a week as a fitness professional where I'm putting in a minimum of 10k steps a day and doing hard workouts in them 5 days a week over an almost 2 year period. There's good deals to be had on their previous years stock imo.

Coincidentally I also have the X3's and they started squeaking after a few months and I don't wear them often. The squeaking is fairly common. There are couple people here in this thread with the same issue. Here is a thread about it and how to fix it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/RunningS...oe_squeak/

With that being said, I am loyal to Brooks. They have gone above and beyond with customer service and their shoes are WAY more comfortable and never squeak. Much better options out there but I get that the "cloud" soles look cool and provide an interesting foot feel. I even tested them several times at a running event and was impressed but the noise is annoying.

All marketing, no substance

You want a good running shoe or walking shoe? then you go Hoka / Brooks / Mizuno

These belong in Walmart and will be stocking their shelves in a few years when people realize the gimmick
