Visible's unlock policy it 60 days.

"Any smartphone purchased from Visible will be locked for 60 days from the date the device was activated on the Visible account associated with the purchased device. Once the 60 days are up, your device will be unlocked automatically."

I have Chase offer for 35% back (up to $30) on Visible purchase, which negates cost for 2 months services. Final cost for me will be $199+tax with no trade-in required like Google offer.

Also, 60 days of Visible service will cost you $50, so the total cost of this phone would come to $249+tax.

Happy I can contribute for once!
Thanks OP, I was trying to buy a $100 off coupon code in the other thread when I saw yours. Bought this 45 minutes ago and already got the Visible shipping confirmation and tracking number!

Anyone know if I can move the phone plan to my main phone and still have the 9a unlock?
I would wait 2 months just to be safe before moving the service to a different phone. The service has to be active for 2 consecutive months according to Visible's new unlock policy as of April 1st, 2025.

I had mentioned this deal in that other Pixel 9a thread and a Slickdeals mod suggested I post it, I'm glad I did! Smilie

Excellent find. I can also confirm that port in is not required. Traded in a pixel 7 for another $80 off. Not a great trade-in deal, but knocked enough off to make it $120 for the phone plus the cost of the $25 plan for a month and $5 for the 2nd month. So, out the door at $150 minus a lovingly used Pixel 7, which I'm not mad about.
You could've gotten more for your Pixel 7 by selling it on Back Market or a similar site. I just sold mine on Back Market for $122.

Really? I must have missed that when I ordered. Bummer.
I missed that too, but the "official case" is $29.99, so still 20 bucks for a case. I was considering the Bellroy Leather Case for Pixel 9a, $44.99 and a 45w charger, $29.99, with my $100 store credit. But when I saw the store credit is good for 1 year, I bought a charger & case for much cheaper off eBay and saved my store credit.

Yeah, $80 for a Pixel 7 seems very low. :/

When they did the discounted iPhone 13 deal with a year of service I got the phone, give the plan to my kid who needed a plan, just moved the activated sim to his phone and gave the iPhone 13 to my wife who is on visible. She put her sim in the iPhone 13 and it worked and unlocked after 60days.

Where in the policy does it say this?

Are people mixing up Tracfone and Total Wireless with Visible since they're all Verizon MVNOs?

Pixel 9 pro for $523 (unlocked no hassle) or pixel 9a for $224 (may have chase offer to make it $200). I like the video boost feature, the better ultrawide, and a telephoto lens but this is for a parent that will use it for years.

I found the information on Google. The entire unlock policy isn't posted on their website. Here is the result from Google:

Visible Unlock Policy

Visible's unlock policy requires that any phone purchased from them is locked for the first 60 days after activation on the account it was purchased from.
Once these 60 days have passed, the phone should be automatically unlocked.
However, some users have reported issues with the automatic unlocking process, where their phones remain locked even after the 60-day period.

Visible's policy also stipulates that the phone must be used on the same account it was purchased from for the full 60 days to be eligible for unlocking.
If the phone is activated on a different Visible account, it may not unlock automatically.
Additionally, if the phone is not used continuously for 60 days on the original account, it might not unlock even after the initial period.

Some users have encountered difficulties when trying to unlock their phones for international travel or switching to another carrier, as Visible may not unlock the device if it has been reported lost or stolen.
In such cases, contacting Visible's customer service team is necessary for assistance.

Military members with relocation orders can contact Visible's customer service team to get their phone unlocked before the 60-day period is up.

It is important to note that Visible's unlocking policy can sometimes differ from the policies of other carriers, and there have been reports of inconsistencies and hidden policies not clearly stated on their website.

For more detailed information, it is recommended to contact Visible's customer service directly or refer to their official unlocking policy page.

The interpretation is based on the wording changing to "verizon value brands" on the TFW wireless unlock site. If you take that at face value then it does include Visible.

From Google:
Verizon's value brands are prepaid wireless services that offer affordable options to consumers looking for lower-cost mobile plans, often on the Verizon network. These brands include Total Wireless (formerly Total by Verizon), Visible, Straight Talk, TracFone, Simple Mobile, Safelink, Walmart Family Mobile, and Verizon Prepaid.
