I wonder if the market will get flooded with these things. Apple airlifted 600 tons of iPhones, about 1.5 Million of them from India last week.
Smartphones, computer components, and a bunch of other electronics are exempt from the tariffs.

I have this tv. WiFi keeps dropping every few days. Also, it takes about 30 seconds for it to load after turning on every time. Very annoying.

Edge lit TVs are best avoided in 2025. So many FALD alternatives available for similar price point.
85 inch FALD alternatives available for similar price? pls share

Would this 85 be better than the TCL 85 from a couple weeks back for about the same price?

The TCL refresh rate I believe was 120 HZ.

While they are most likely blowing smoke, this is a truly heinous TV masquerading as a mid level.

I wouldn't buy this TV for any price to watch myself. The 85" size will make all its glaring issues even more prominent.

edit: Mini LED with FALD for $200 more. Fire TV (which means it's subsidized by Amazon ad revenue and full of intrusive ads, or so I've heard), but is easily mitigated with an Apple TV 4k or another streaming device, and never connecting the TV itself to the Internet to avoid the Fire TV BS.

Hisense 85" Class QD7 Series Mini-LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV (85QD7QF, 2025 Model) - QLED, Native 144hz, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Game Mode Pro, ALLM,

its not great. I had a 82 inch q6, was fine since it was for room mate, but I sold it and bought q85d no regrets.

Here's one I found with a quick search. Look at Hisense & TCL.

QD7N doesn't have FALD/Local dimming. It is better than this TV though (but barely). I don't think the other TV being 25% more qualifies as being a similar price either. I don't think what you claimed exists does, at least not without being ymmv.

Ok, so the 2025 includes FALD & Mini LED for $200 more. I'd go with that one.

That is 25% more though. That is too much to call it a similar price.

But I would too over this (if I had the money, and then I would prob still go another tier up, such as the U7).

If I didn't have the money, I would wait until I did for massively superior mini LED picture quality.

Best additional $200 ever spent. 🤙🏾
