Clear plastic gloves: Thin disposable food hygiene making sandwiches @ Subway & throw away after each sandwich is made.
Vinyl gloves: Little bit thicker mainly for peeps with rubber latex allergies. Included in car wax, window clean, & painting kits, basting cakes, or applying BBQ sauce.
Nitrile gloves: Thicker & more tear resistant & for peeps with rubber latex allergies also. Used lotsa in medical field, kitchens, & chemical industrial use. 4 mils is standard, but sometimes see 5 mils or more.
Rubber gloves- Thicker with good tear resistantance seen in 5 mils or greater. Used for washing dishes, brake jobs, & in surgery to reduce blood contacting skin.
Goat or Cow Leather gloves: Thick abrasion, heat, & some puncture resistance wih added warmth. Cowboys on a ranch, mountain climbing, rappeling, welding, or glass blowing.
