They are low carbon steel that rust within 3 days of sharpening. Once you sharpen them, you might as well through them away.

Pass, out of stock.......Walmart just wants the opportunity to shaft you by making you pay for S&H instead of store pickup. Typical corporate greed.

Even for store pickup, they have a $35 minimum spend now. I experienced it during my last order. SMH

Well I ordered up a set. I seriously doubt they will rust in 3 days, but we will see.

I think they are worth grabbing up and leaving them in the car/toolbag for as needed use.

So after doing some more research, the D2 steel comment was really about the Mossy Oak black anodized hunting knives vs these ones.

These, according to most knife guys, appear to be either 440A or 8cr13mov. Another version of these with wooden handles was purported to be 440A.

Neither are top grade steel but should be perfectly usable for daily tasks.

Either way, 10 bucks is a good deal for 3 full tang fixed blades with sheaths.
