My experience with Duracell is that they don't honor their warranty. All my Duracell rechargeables had failed within the warranty period and all they would do is send a $0.50 coupon that is not stackable.
Their warranty stated replacement or full refund which they refused even though i had receipts and they checked the date codes on the batteries.

I bought this last time it was on sale at Woot (same price). You have to charge batteries in pairs (no charging 1 or 3). It's not fast but it works well and it's worth it for the batteries alone (just wish it was 6 AAA as they seem to be more common nowadays).

Do these leak like the regular Duracells? I have a few remotes left that aren't ruined yet.

Unless you need the charger, you might be best to get the pre charge from IKEA. May be a little more, but at least you know it's made in Japan

Not listed, but this is most likely the low capacity battery.

Definitely leaks. Bought this two years ago forgot about it and already getting fuzzy inside the package. Very cheap Chinese batteries so you are essentially buying an expensive $15 charger that sells for $3.

I'm calling bullshit on this. li-ion don't leak, you're confusing it with regular alkaline.

This page you linked explains how NiMH batteries do indeed contain electrolyte, and may leak.

I think you meant 4AA + "2AAA", but yeah that was the better deal and they were Energizers MADE IN JAPAN!

I bought 8 of these AA batteries last month. You can use other charger for them.

I've had too many electronics ruined by Duracell. Is it worth the risk. I think not
