I think the only advantage of this over my Roku Ultra is it looks prettier. Anything I'm missing really?

Would have been great device otherwise. Sucks that they cripple these devices.
Sigh. Thanks for saving me the return. I guess I'm still stuck on NUC w windows 11.

Other than Kodi or Plex, I just don't find the need to spend this much for a streamer. My Roku stick is used 99% of the time. And with over a hundred channels installed it has never had a memory issue like my Google TV or Fire Stick has.
If you are getting an older parent to set one up, go with Roku, my Mom set it up herself.

I bought one when it first came out. I use it all the time and is pretty fast. I use it mainly to consolidate my Streamio, Netflix, and Youttube TV.

My only complaint is that there is no internet browser built in.

Is there UI actually responsive or laggy like the Chromecast with Google TV.

Wish reviewers would test input lag and/or the responsiveness of devices. I want that instantaneous feeling you get between console and controllers

They finally reduced the price (likely due to poor sales), but it's still too expensive at $80! The ONN Pro is a better option (especially considering that it's $50). Google went to extremes with the pricing for this thing! It's a credible product, but it's priced wrong!
I have the onn pro. It's ok for the price. Randomly Google assistant will pop up without any noise or anything that sounds like "ok google" much more often than any Chromecast product I have owned. Also unfortunately you cannot add it to a speaker group in Google home.

If you need an Android based streaming device RIGHT NOW get the Onn 4k Pro. If you don't need it right away then just wait as devices are starting to (finally) release with the new S905X5 chip.

I have the several of the old google 4k's, one of each of last 3 gens of appletv, use to have a nvidia.

I prefer the setup on appletv and lack of ads. With the new gen of the atv, I have to pony up for the Ethernet model which is quite a bit more than this sale price.

Hardware wise Apple should be significantly better in the long run.

In my experience Google TV devices are WAY better than Amazon Fire TV after 1 year of use, software is good, no slow down, no bloated software from Amazon that you can't uninstall.

I have the Chromecast 4K dongle; Does this one offer any extra features the dongle doesn't?

Do the Onn devices integrate into the Google Home environment for screen and music sharing?

smart home features, I believe and it's supposed to be way faster. Not Nvidia or Apple TV fast, but faster than the old gen.
