You're clearly referring to the Chromecast, not the Google Streamer (which replaced the Chromecast just last year). It might be a good idea to focus on the product that you're complaining about (vs. confusing it with a different product).

I have two Chromecast with Google TV (HD) and one Google TV Streamer. Great devices and was hoping for a price drop for the Streamer. I wish they didn't discontinue their cheaper model, would have been nice if they kept releasing a low/mid range version given how popular they are.

Edit: If you ordered it recently, and you're still within your return window, they will probably refund you the difference at the Google Store.

Edit 2: The Onn 4K Plus is coming for people who want a cheaper replacement for the Chromecast with Google TV. It'll likely be just under ~$30, but no ETA for the release date, could be the next month or two or possibly more.

They finally reduced the price (likely due to poor sales), but it's still too expensive at $80! The ONN Pro is a better option (especially considering that it's $50). Google went to extremes with the pricing for this thing! It's a credible product, but it's priced wrong!

I have the Onn 4ks from Walmart (2 regular, 1 pro) and am very happy with them, although the regular ones can lag slightly at times - is this any better for more money?
