Now, the .97 is commonly found on non-restock items, but it is not the same thing. The only way to know that for certain is the asterisk on the placard in store (or call).
Since we're here: .47/.49/.00 are manager closeout prices, which are typically going to be store specific. (Think last few boxes of Christmas lights they found in May hiding behind the steel).
I used to work at Costco.
Modern KitchenAid dishwashers do have heating elements, quite a bit pricier than this model but roughly equal to the more expensive Bosch models.
Used a few dishwashers and in my opinion even the ones with heating elements don't dry dishes very well anymore.

*Incorrect original post* - Good price. Note that ending price of 97 cents. Means it's being discontinued or replaced with a newer model, so once it sells out it's gone. If you are on the fence buy now and push install date out. You can cancel before hand if you change your mind.
