Now, the .97 is commonly found on non-restock items, but it is not the same thing. The only way to know that for certain is the asterisk on the placard in store (or call).
Since we're here: .47/.49/.00 are manager closeout prices, which are typically going to be store specific. (Think last few boxes of Christmas lights they found in May hiding behind the steel).
I used to work at Costco.
Modern KitchenAid dishwashers do have heating elements, quite a bit pricier than this model but roughly equal to the more expensive Bosch models.
Used a few dishwashers and in my opinion even the ones with heating elements don't dry dishes very well anymore.

The install isnt necessarily hard but having is included is surely a benefit but if you read the read the reviews most of the negatives are all around the install/installers.......
The Haulaway is a good benefit to not have to worry about the old washer.

This scores 80 on their testing, so it's still top marks, and obviously a fraction of the cost.

Wife felt pretty good about the Bosch but I read worrying things about its internal layout. Luckily I convinced my wife to go to Best Buy to check them out in person first.
The interiors of the Boschs were TINY. The silverware caddy too. It felt like we could fit maybe 2/3rds a normal amount in there. Wife was shocked.
We ended up with a kitchenaid 604 (comparable price to Bosch 800). The interior is roomy as hell, great 3rd rack, and pro dry gets us 99% of the way there (plastic with nooks and crannies will always be a problem).
No regrets from us (we also sprang for the extended warranty so we're good for 5 years).
But yeah for the Bosch I highly recommend you check these machines out in person before buying.
ETA: install and haulaway went great for us buy obviously YMMV. Costco said we'd need to do a 2nd appointment for the actual install and haulaway which was annoying but the delivery guy did it all in one visit, thank God. We had no extra install issues, already had air gap and GFCI.
90% of bad reviews on Costco is delivery and install experience.

Ours has the 3rd tray and it is convenient for small things, which include the Pyrex 2-cup containers which are about 3" tall. The bottom rack layout on the old Bosch though is different, I think I can fit way more in my old layout than what I see now where the utensil tray is now wider but shorter…
I personally will get this same model when my current one breaks. This is about the price I paid 7 years ago from Lowes though after a rebate.
