Our dishwasher broke last week and had to scramble to get a new one, especially with tarriff worries.

Wife felt pretty good about the Bosch but I read worrying things about its internal layout. Luckily I convinced my wife to go to Best Buy to check them out in person first.

The interiors of the Boschs were TINY. The silverware caddy too. It felt like we could fit maybe 2/3rds a normal amount in there. Wife was shocked.

We ended up with a kitchenaid 604 (comparable price to Bosch 800). The interior is roomy as hell, great 3rd rack, and pro dry gets us 99% of the way there (plastic with nooks and crannies will always be a problem).

No regrets from us (we also sprang for the extended warranty so we're good for 5 years).

But yeah for the Bosch I highly recommend you check these machines out in person before buying.

ETA: install and haulaway went great for us buy obviously YMMV. Costco said we'd need to do a 2nd appointment for the actual install and haulaway which was annoying but the delivery guy did it all in one visit, thank God. We had no extra install issues, already had air gap and GFCI.

90% of bad reviews on Costco is delivery and install experience.
For the install and haul away, did you have to uninstall your old dishwasher yourself or did the installer uninstall it for you?

They un-installed it (disconnect water and drain, unplug, remove screw mount to counter top, pull out). So full service.

Does Bosch make a dishwasher with a heating element anymore? I'm not buying a dishwasher without one and hanging onto my Kitchenaid until it dies.
Bosch dishwashers generally don't have heating elements, but have a very hot final rinse that evaporates well. The 500 and 800 series have more features for better drying, like automatically popping open when finished to let steam escape.
Modern KitchenAid dishwashers do have heating elements, quite a bit pricier than this model but roughly equal to the more expensive Bosch models.
Used a few dishwashers and in my opinion even the ones with heating elements don't dry dishes very well anymore.

In for one. Tired of waiting. My old Mielle went kaput. I have been tracking Bosch price on Lowes and Costco but its held mostly steady.

I actually returned this exact dishwasher in exchange for GE profile Model PDT795SYVFS from Costco last week.

Bosch 300 is the worst dishwasher I have owned. (GE Profile one is the 4th one in my household and is unbelievably awesome. Topic for another day)

Bosch300 has very terrible drying and the remains of the plate are not washed properly. Although I can't comment on how long it lasts but the washing and drying performance was terrible.

I would avoid this model.

As far as the GE Profile dishwasher is concerned, it is really good with washing and the drying feels like it is straight and fresh out of the oven. Highly recommend.

Giving this a whirl. I have a Samsung dishwasher that's only a few years old, but I've been pretty disgusted with it since day one.

Well that's not exactly a fair comparison. That GE Profile model is also twice the price. You're comparing a Lexus with a Toyota.

You are wrong about "heating elements" don't dishes very well.
I swapped Bosch 300 for drying issues in lieu for GE Profile. I was blown over by how well GE Profile does the washing and drying. It is spotless.

Well, the price to $600 was today. Until yesterday, Bosch 300 was $1099 and Ge Profile is priced at $1119. Very close in numbers.

True, at those prices I think you made the right call. I'm replacing a dishwasher that's only a couple of years old (I hate it) and $600 is an easier pill to swallow.

The comparison is irrelevant if they're complaining about it not drying nor cleaning correctly. That's dishwasher 101 stuff, if it doesn't do that it is objectively a bad dishwasher regardless of alternative.
I'm not agreeing nor disagreeing with their opinion, just pointing out that "doesn't wash dishes well" has nothing to do with price nor competition.

This is a good deal, especially this probably includes delivery and haul away. GL, I suggest you buy this if available in your area.

I bought this last year. Washes well but the bottom tray design is odd. Can't fit as many things as the outgoing GE Profile. Also, the front stainless panel is flimsy af For this price maybe. I wouldn't recommend it or buy again.
That's a disappointing review. I've had a myriad of issues with my GE Profile and planned to replace it with a Bosch. I looked at them in a local store and was a bit underwhelmed with the design.
