Correct

The retaliatory move means companies and individuals in Hong Kong will have to pay private couriers such as DHL, FedEx and UPS to deliver packages, further driving up costs for consumers on top of US levies.

A DHL spokesman told CNN that it will continue to process shipments to the US, monitor the situation and work with customers to help them keep up with latest changes. FedEx said it's "business as usual." CNN has reached out to UPS for comment.
I purchased a different model last summer. It worked long enough to install all of my software and then it died. Customer service ghosted me after a few emails and none of their suggestions worked. I even tried an external HDMI dongle and it is still dead. I now have a $500 paperweight and I will post this as often as I can.
I waited a month and now have disputed the charge with CC since they charged it a day or two after ordering. Even got something back saying might be another month. Great deals, but seems like they have a real shipping issue. Not sure if this is tariff related or not.

Anyone else order from Minisforum and actually receive their order? I put an order in over a month ago for a refurbished unit and am still waiting. I don't think their in stock units are really in stock.

When I ordered my UM680 it took like 2-3 weeks before they added tracking info.
They shipped from Hong Kong

oh oh... Isn't HK holding all shipments to the USA right now? Unless than excludes electronics...

Unless I'm mistaken that's HK post that is holding. I ordered minisforum dual screen portable monitor 10 days ago and it shipped on Monday with DHL. ETA is currently Tuesday.

Yep unless it's private carrier

The government said the postal service, Hongkong Post, will stop accepting packages transported by sea with immediate effect and stop taking airborne packages starting from April 27. Other postal items containing only documents, for example letters, will not be affected.

I bought it and I don't know why 😂 Seems like I can do some fun stuff with it for $154. Home server and will probably finally play around with Linux. Also, to those wondering it specifically says on the website that the warehouse is US and shipping from the US. Of course that could be untrue, but I suspect since these a refurbished machines they are indeed coming from the US, since an end-user has used them. I doubt they would've shipped the used machines to warehouses all the way back in Hong Kong for returns or repairs.

I believe the cost of 2.5GbE is negligible, and it should be an easy drop-in upgrade for 1GbE since it works with the same cables. 1GbE should be eliminated almost everywhere in favor of 2.5GbE. I'm not sure about 5GbE, and 10GbE is another conversation.

NAS is a possibility, but some people have faster than 1 gigabit Internet connections at this point.
