My son got one of these for his car. It works but it's a b!tch to connect every time. Now it just sits in the glove box.

Just adding my experience. I bought this one, and have been using last few days. It's nice, it's very basic Carplay/Android auto, works fine with GPS and Music. Kicks on when I start the car, though it does take about 5-10 seconds to connect properly but it's still automatic hands-free for me. One time bluetooth installation and I haven't had to do anything else since. Cheap way for me to get some carplay so I can't complain.

I guess I'm lucky with this I've bought 2 of these suspiciously cheap tablets and they've both been great in older cars.

Weresound was one brand. Works when when there's not a full moon.

The other was Nexpow, which I've bought a couple jump starter/air compressors that have been good.

I bought it and have been using it in my older Jeep l. I think it's pretty awesome for the price, FM transmitter works great and haven't had any hiccups.

I bought something similar that was originally $90 and i got it for $50... that one sucked, so this must be even worse!!! I don't recommend unless you go with reliable brands that have some reputation to stand behind

I have one from this company and it exceeded my expectations. A few points to consider: This screen is more squarish than the 10 in versions so will block more of your view. It doesn't have a front-facing continuosly-recording camera which is useful for insurance purposes if you rear-end someone. If your car doesn't have an aux audio input, then your options are cassette adapters (very bad, clicks and screeches constantly) or FM (static, very much dependent on how crowded your city's FM channels are).

Delete memory and reconnect/pair if using Bluetooth

Picked this up at the deal price for my son and his 2015 Kia Optima. I was surprised how easily we got it working and how reliable the connection has been for him. He connected his phone to the screen via bluetooth and uses the aux-in for audio. It's not crazy responsive but definitely good enough and looks bright and sharp. He's a lot happier with a more modern system. Sorry others had some bad experiences but for me, this was a homerun at a basement price.
