Man, if this had a 2TB SSD (for an extra $100 or whatever), I'd be all over it.

It's not recommended for VR gaming. if a VR game boots you'll probably have to make so many compromises that it makes it unplayable.

Retro games 100%, esports games 100%, you'll get decent performance in 1080 at lower settings.

But don't expect new AAA titles to be super high FPS. And don't expect games to get high FPS or high resolutions.

You can search youtube for 680m and the 6800h performance in games

A few games that can run on a potato, but that's it. These aren't gaming machines.

This is a so-so deal. Last July I got the Kamrui branded Ryzen 7 7735HS version of this in a 32/512 configuration for $292. AMD naming conventions confuse things but it's basically low single digits % faster than this one in most areas. I returned it because the NVMe/SATA area has zero ventilation. SATA SSD worked fine but NVMe would cook and throttle under normal usage loads. No malware was present.

Just an FYI, Windows 11 does not support VR any longer.

Can this run 3 windows of chrome with 10 tabs each, 1 session of Edge with 10 tabs, Microsoft teams, Webex and zoom and a RDP session? My Lenovo is dying out because of this much work I put on it.

Are these mini PCs solid as home office computers? Just need a windows computer for email, youtube, internet browsing, etc. Dont mind spending more though for a entry level type gaming computer. TIA

No Oculink or Thunderbolt/USB4 ports means no (easy) eGPUs...
But, you can use the NVME m.2 slot to add an Oculink eGPU, BUT that means that Windows/Linux can only use SATA.
Might have to mod the case to allow the panel to close though... And limited to PCIe 3.0 speeds.

If I replace the NVME hard drive and reinstall Windows 11, will it get rid of the malware, or is the malware baked into the motherboard?

I own the Asus Rog Ally Extrene which has the 780m. I would not purchase this for gaming. I'm waiting for the next gen graphics to drop and then I'm purchasing. I think it's the 890m is what I'm waiting for
