Bomgaars usually has this thing on sale in summer & winter around $80-$99. No Bomgaars in your hood? Don't stress, cause you can insta chat Lowes or Homey Depot for price match. But some reps may decline price match, so just try again later in day & pray you get a diff rep. If at 1st you don't succeed, try try again 😃

Also, check printing at top left corner on back. Should say type 2, cause type 1 has inflator issues & they slowly phasing them out.

Finally, this thing is best thing, since white rice & inflates your tires, beach ball, basket ball, mattress, & love doll easily.

I've seen Type 1 with newer production dates than Type 2 so I'm inclined to believe it has more to do with parts availability. The production date stickers look different though so perhaps it's also related to batch origin.

This has been on my radar for a while and my CAT inflator from Costco happened to start acting up this morning (repeatedly stopped with a flashing "!" triangle after the pump blips on for only a fraction of a second; finally worked after minutes of fussing with it).

None of the Amazon reviews mention Type 2 and the only picture showing Type 2 on the label was a complaint saying they got a used one. I'd really like to know if Amazon customers are receiving Type 1 or Type 2.

I did the price match trick last summer and I would definitely pay this price. I use mine all the time. I keep it in the car.

Bomgaars cancelled my order and told me they don't ship to my city last time I bought this lol, never had that happen before. Got it price matched at Lowe's instead

I was never able to get a price match to Bomgaar's and I tried several times. I eventually bought mine at Tractor Supply on clearance for $95 and have no regrets. I keep it in my truck in a Tough System deep compact toolbox which is perfect for it. It's pretty quick to inflate but the best feature is being able to set the target psi and forget it.

Finally received mine today after some crazy weird Amazon shipping exceptions.

Mine is Type 2. Love that I could throw a battery on it and use it immediately or even run it from the vehicle's 12v auto "lighter jack" if I didn't have a charged DeWALT 20V Max battery. Speaking of which: It's a valid complaint about the AC cord not being included when they market it as battery and AC powered. Instead of buying their optional AC adapter (N557514), I'd just grab a 10A 12~13.8v a generic adapter and connect it to a 12v socket. The official adapter is basically the same thing with a special plug (no lighter jack).

While waiting for a deal on tires I've been inflating a problem tire almost daily for the last couple months and the DeWALT was just miles faster than the CAT[erpillar] PPSCL3. Because it has a removable battery with alternate power source I will no longer need the inflator only to realize I left it charging at home. I'll no longer need to carry it in with me at work to charge just in case.

Also, the way the DeWALT stows away the air hose allows me to leave a "Skogg Chuck Mates Premium Speed Clip for inflators" attached, unlike the CAT. The only thing the CAT does better is remembering your PSI setting but at least the DeWALT is quick to adjust with the rotary encoder wheel. Some say this is better for shop use so you don't accidentally over-inflate a tire because it remembered the setting for another vehicle. It could also be improved by adding some place to stow your valve stem cap while inflating or maybe hold a few spares but I've never seen any inflator do this. Haven't inflator engineers ever found themselves fumbling with a fistful of caps while it inflates one at a time?! Maybe it's patented or something but it just seems too obvious.

I so wish there was a version that includes a jump starter so I could ditch the CAT entirely.
