I'm assuming this is the latest model but eventually in past these would fall into $25 range especially for Black Friday, prime day sales

i don't think the Max ever go that low. Camel shows them only down to like 32.99 lowest.

These would bottom out at $35 typically. $25 would be some cheaper model.

So, will Amazon ever make a Fire Stick 8K?

I also purchased the Max other day for $29.99 with coupon code. I also traded in an old firestick and got $13 (trade in firestick 20% off and $5 gift card). So it ended up being $17. I did have to chat with customer service since the 20% discount didn't show up in my cart. They ended up crediting 20% off the $39.99 price. I believe the coupon code was a YMMV but the 20% trade in should show up on the page.

Probably not soon. They are changing the OS used on these soon though, maybe for any new releases

Same issue here - I have the 20% off with trade-in offer, but it doesn't seem to apply.

You still need the Internet of course and as I live in an urban area on Long Island, it is impossible to cut the cord if you still watch real TV. I enjoy local sports and some movies. To subscribe to the numerous apps would cost more than what I pay. I negotiate with the carrier and save enough on the combined Internet and TV package that it's still the best deal. Unless you live alone, even if you remove the TV package, you still need high speed access to avoid spinning and lagging and without the package, they charge a lot individually. Then add a way to get local sports access and enough apps to try to "recreate" cable and you're spending even more. The way everything especially sports is now sold, at least I don't save today by removing the cord. I created a spreadsheet to show the spouse. Such was a mistake as now she sees what we have and wants me to remove some add ones. I've had to explain, cable will remove their discounts before lowering the price...then I mention we could remove what SHE watches and the conversation is over...

Bought it for 29.99 last December. Camel probably shows only the regular price being lowered but not with coupon code.

I bought one 4 days back and price in cart was showing 39 but on checkout it dropped to 30. So I dont know if it was a targeted coupon or something but go to checkout and it might be lower

Same. $30 for me too. I did get one of my old fire stick appraised for an attempt at 20% off so I'm not sure if that's what bumped it down more or not. Coupon was ambiguous at checkout.
