Not when you compare like for like. I just got back from a Virgin Cruise out of Miami last week. When you factor that Virgin's fare includes tips, WiFi, Soft Drinks, and specialty dining on ships that are all less than 4 years old it's quite competitive. MSC might be the only line with home ports in the US to run newer ships that are consistently cheaper, but you are not getting the same levels of service, food quality, and experience.

Now, if you want to compare to sailing on a 20 year old ship where you drink only coffee and water with no WiFi and you have the purser remove the automatic gratuities for staff, then yes, you can sail cheaper - but that's an apples to oranges comparison.

ETA: This sale doesn't seem to be any better than what they run pretty consistently. All the cruise lines use the same tactic of perpetually running big discounts. I just checked an itinerary I've been looking to book for a while and the price was the same as the last time I looked. The Virgin sale I look out for is the free balcony uprage. Those do move the needle.

Thank you. Thumbs 👍. Never been on a virgin cruise. Is this a good sake? Looking at three possible cruises, 2 in Europe in September, maybe back to back. Another in November, 12 day southern Caribbean. Have a lot of chase points. Has anyone experienced a cruise thru chase? I assume with reserve card there is free cancelation insurance. Feedback appreciated. M/F couple.

True, but we don't drink, we're not addicted to our devices. so internet doesn't matter, we eat at the included dining and I will not pre pay gratuites. I don't tip before I receive service anywhere else.
